About me

I am currently working as a PostDoc in the field of visualization research at University of Bamberg, Germany. My research interests include data visualization, game analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). I explore and invent ways to analyze complex data using effective visual encodings, enabling exploration of patterns, and discovering valuable insights. I often apply these visualizations in practical use-cases scenarios, including those related to machine learning. For instance, understanding what AI models have learned. I have worked with experts in different communities, e.g., in AICrowd for crowdsourced AI development, Pommerman for analyzing AI agent gameplay behavior, etc. The visualization contributions were received well and awarded by the communities.

My mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in visual analytics and to create impactful solutions that can help various domains and applications. I collaborate with researchers and practitioners from different disciplines and backgrounds, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and insights through teaching and mentoring. I am passionate about finding new problems, generating new ideas, and delivering high-quality results.

I am happy to chat, connect, and collaborate. Please feel free to write me an e-mail: shivam[dot]agarwal[at_the_rate]uni-bamberg[dot]de
